Legend has it that the emperor Nero killed his wife with a kick in the abdomen after a violent quarrel. Poppea was pregnant with her second child and according to some historians she died in childbirth. Missing frame, artwork that has undergone a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some points.
