Antique painting from Northern Europe (Germany) from the end of the 18th, beginning of the 19th century. Oil on oak panel artwork depicting a Hermit of good pictorial quality. Wood and plaster frame, not contemporary, from the 19th century, carved and gilded. Small-sized painting, for antique dealers and collectors, in beautiful patina. Panel of good brightness, pleasant details inserted by the painter (see photo). In the frame, as a support element for the panel, there is a card with the word Dietrich perhaps in reference to the German painter Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich (1712-1774), under study, lacking additional documentation. Painting that presents some small drops of color, in beautiful patina and structurally sound, overall in a fair state of conservation. Interior size H 33 x W 31 cm.
